“Librariman” in Merriam-Webster’s Open Dictionary

I coined it, and I entered it—it’s as simple as that! Not only is Merriam-Webster’s Open Dictionary a blast to browse through, but it’s also intensely satisfying to add your own word (or at least what you think is your own word) and see it appear!

librariman (noun) : a male librarian, similar to “guybrarian” (plural: librarimen)
On the ride to the ALA convention, it dawned on Petunia that she was the only female in a car full of librarimen.

I am honored to be one of the few, the proud, the Librarimen!
We can say we were there for the coining of the term.

That’s right, David! Let it be known that David Black was one of the three awesome librarimen that inspired the word!
